Skold Door is looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined Commercial Door Technician to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you’ll install, service, and repair commercial and specialty door systems for customers throughout the Midwest. Job Requirements
- Install, service, and maintain commercial and specialty door systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system components.
- Complete service documentation and communicate with customers and project teams.
- Follow all Skold safety policies and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work at heights using ladders and lifts.
- Able to work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.
- Must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the job.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana).
- Must live within driving distance of our office (5730 NE 17th Street, Des Moines, IA).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 – $29.00 per hour
