Skold Construction Services is proud to be part of  constructing the first building in Iowa to use an eco-friendly building material called mass timber. The four-story, 64,000-square-foot mixed-use building is located at 111 E. Grand Ave. To help control the sound transfer between floors, we installed Maxxon’s Acousti-Mat ¾ Premium sound mat at ¾ ” total thickness over entire 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors. The Acousti-Mat ¾ Premium is Maxxon’s highest performance sound control mat. It delivers top quality noise reduction by combining the proven sound reduction of Acousti-Mat’s floating floor technology with an added layer of isolation. In addition, Acousti-Mat ¾ Premium is GREENGUARD Gold Certified.
