This role involves working closely with project managers, contractors, suppliers, and architects while building strong industry relationships. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan Review: Analyze and review construction plans and specifications to understand project scope, requirements, and timelines.
• Use Local Plan Rooms: Utilize local plan rooms to access project documents, blueprints, and specifications for bidding and estimating purposes.
• Estimate Pricing: Obtain and compare pricing from multiple manufacturers/suppliers to develop accurate and competitive project estimates.
• Collaborate with Project Manager: Plan, schedule, and coordinate Skold Specialty’s portion of the construction projects from start to finish.
• Project Communication: Communicate with general contractors, installation partners, and manufacturers/suppliers to provide updates and resolve issues.
• Networking: Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors and architects through active participation in local networking events, tradeshows, client meetings, and industry gatherings.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2-3 years of experience in construction project management, estimating, or a related role (internships and co-op experience considered).
• Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and practices.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and basic estimating tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in commercial construction, particularly in specialty contracting (e.g., drywall, ceilings, framing, etc.).
• Familiarity with estimating software and tools.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
