We began by shot blasting the original concrete for a proper concrete surface profile and proper saw joint preparation. The floor required extensive floor patching in order to complete the job. Skold Commercial Contracting then installed approximately 34,800 sq ft. of a 5-coat quartz flooring system. The system consisted of an epoxy primer followed by a 100% solids epoxy body coat with decorative quartz broadcast to refusal and a second 100% solids epoxy body coat with decorative quartz broadcast to refusal. The 34,800 sq ft. floor was then topped with a 100% solids epoxy lock coat and a urethane topcoat.
