Mayo Civic Center

The Mayo Civic Center is a multi-purpose event facility in Rochester, Minnesota. In order accommodate the wide variety of events held in the exhibit hall, we installed several Moderco Signature 8800 operable partitions. One 177 x 28, one 89 x 28, and one 108 x 28 were installed for maximum space configuration. In addition, the walls had three single pass doors, an STC of 53 and a painted finish.

We also installed eight Moderco Signature 8600 operable partitions in the meeting rooms, giving the space the ability to be divided into four separate rooms. The first meeting room has two 37 x 13 and two 39 x 13, the second meeting rooms has two 49 x 13 and two 39 x 13. All Signature panels start with a heavy duty extruded aluminum frame. The frame, extruded to very close tolerances, is designed to be extremely rigid, resisting racking and twisting. The aluminum frame is then reinforced with heavy duty tubular steel as required by height and weight. The core of the panel is filled with insulation to achieve the 53 STC.
